Privacy Policy
Never Lose Touch ("the app," "we," "us") is made by Oklahoma Design and Rank LLC. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it's handled. We built this app to help you stay close to people, so we've tried to collect as little as we reasonably can to make that work.
Information we collect
Account information
You can use the app without creating an account. On first launch, the app creates a private profile tied to your device, with no name, email, or password attached. If you choose to set up a backup (Settings > Account), we store the email address and a securely hashed password you provide, so your data can be restored on another device. We never store your password in plain text.
The people you track
For each person you add, we store what you enter about them, things like name, phone number, circle or category, reminder cadence, birthday, other dates you add, notes, and the dates you've logged reaching out. This is the core data the app needs to work, and it's visible only to you.
Contacts on your device
If you use Import from Contacts, the app reads your device's contact list only long enough to show you a list to choose from. Nothing is uploaded automatically. Only the name and phone number of the specific people you select are sent to our server and added to your list.
Voice notes
If you use voice-to-text (a Premium feature), audio is processed by your device's own speech recognition, the app does not record or store audio. Only the resulting text is saved, and only if you choose to keep it as a note.
Notifications
To send reminder notifications, we store a device token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging (a Google service). This token identifies your device for delivering notifications and nothing else.
Subscription and billing
Premium subscriptions are purchased and billed entirely through Google Play. We never see or store your payment card details. We receive a purchase confirmation from Google Play, which we use only to enable Premium features on your account.
Technical information
We store your device's time zone, so reminders and quiet hours land at the right local time. During account creation, we briefly log the IP address the request came from, solely to prevent automated abuse of account creation, and it is not tied to your ongoing use of the app.
What we don't do
- We don't run ads or ad tracking of any kind in the app.
- We don't use third-party analytics or behavioral tracking.
- We don't sell or rent your data, or the data of the people you track, to anyone.
- We don't share the names, notes, or numbers you enter with anyone but you.
How we use your information
We use the information above only to operate the app, things like showing you your people, calculating when a reminder is due, sending that reminder, restoring your data on a backed-up account, and confirming your subscription status. We do not use it for any other purpose.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on servers operated by Oklahoma Design and Rank LLC. Reminder delivery relies on Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, and subscriptions rely on Google Play Billing, both governed by Google's own privacy practices.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete any person, note, or contact-log entry at any time from within the app.
- Removing a person moves them to a Paused list first, so a mistaken removal is recoverable, then you can delete them permanently from Settings > Archived.
- You can turn off notifications at any time from Settings > Alerts, or from your device's system settings.
- You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@oklahomadesignandrank.com. We'll confirm once it's done.
Children's privacy
Never Lose Touch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know inside the app.
